From the south:
Maine Turnpike
- 95N to exit for Rte 295N through Portland - Stay on Rte. 295N through
Portland to Brunswick exit.
- Stay on this road, Pleasant St., til junction with Maine St.
- Turn left onto Maine St. at the light. As you proceed on Maine St., you
will cross over Rte.1 and the Androscoggin River and go into Topsham.
- At the light on the hill, turn right onto Rte.24, (Elm St.) Stay on Elm
for approximately 3.5 miles.
- Turn left onto Cathance Road which is opposite a small cemetary on Rte.
24. My house is 1.3 miles on the Cathance Rd. It is the first house on the
left after you go over the small bridge by the old mill (apartments, now),
which is in a sharp "s" curve of the road. The house is a blue/gray cape
with yellow trim. There is a large barn next to the house. White farmhouse
across the Cathance Road from us. There are two street signs in our driveway:
one says "Willis Rd." and the other says "Cully's Gullies." Look for
the "Art Studio" sign.
From the north:
Route 1
- Rte. 1-South to Topsham bypass exit. This is the first exit after Cook's
Corner. Follow ramp up and over the river.
- At the first stop light turn right, following sign to Rte. 24. Turn left
onto 24, stay on it for one to two miles and turn left onto the Cathance
Rd. Follow rest of above directions.
Maine Turnpike
- South on Turnpike through Augusta, then take the exit onto 295S in Gardiner.
- Get off at Bowdoinham/Bowdoin exit. At end of exit ramp, turn left onto
Rte. 125/138 towards Bowdoinham.
- Take first right (less than 1 mile) onto Fisher Road (this becomes the
Cathance Road at the town lines. This is my road!) Distance on Fisher/Cathance
Rd. is 4 miles. My house is on the R in a large field just after you come
down a steep hill. There are two road signs at our driveway: one says "Willis
Road" and one says "Cully's Gullies". Large white farm house on opposite
side of road. If you go over the small bridge in a sharp "s" curve, you've
gone too far! (description of my house above)
