These pieces developed several years ago as a challenge to myself to work on a very small scale while using much of the same imagery I use in my larger quilts. Originally small squares of about 6" x 6", they now include house-shaped collages. They are all built/constructed the same way I make collage pictures for my larger work: layers of shapes cut from my hand painted and printed fabric to form a picture; then overlaid with tulle and a grid of machine stitching and embellishments.
